PartForge is designed to provide workshop inventory and project-management functionality while minimizing the collection of personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use PartForge.

Device Storage

PartForge stores application information on the user’s device using Apple’s application data technologies.

This information is used solely to provide application functionality.

iCloud and CloudKit

PartForge supports synchronization through Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services.

When iCloud synchronization is available, PartForge data may be stored in and synchronized through the user’s iCloud account.

This enables compatible devices associated with the user’s Apple account to maintain synchronized PartForge data.

PartForge does not operate a separate cloud service that receives copies of this synchronized workshop data.

CloudKit infrastructure is operated by Apple and is subject to Apple’s applicable privacy policies and terms.

Photos

Users may voluntarily attach photos to parts and projects.

Photos are used only to provide PartForge functionality such as visually identifying inventory or documenting projects.

PartForge may access:

PartForge does not use photos for advertising, profiling, analytics, facial recognition, or tracking.

Camera

PartForge requests camera permission for:

QR Codes

PartForge can generate QR codes containing identifiers used to locate PartForge records.

QR codes are used to provide inventory and storage-location navigation within the application.

PartForge does not include third-party analytics SDKs.

PartForge does not use application behavior to build advertising profiles.

Apple may independently provide developers with aggregated App Store or system diagnostic information under Apple’s services and privacy policies.

Advertising and Tracking

PartForge does not contain advertising.

PartForge does not track users across third-party apps or websites.

PartForge does not use Apple’s AppTrackingTransparency framework because PartForge does not perform cross-app or cross-website tracking.

Third Parties

PartForge does not sell or share application data with advertising companies, data brokers, or marketing organizations.

Apple services used by PartForge may include:

Backup Files

PartForge allows users to create backup files containing application information.

Backup files are created at the user’s request.

Once a backup file is exported or shared outside PartForge, the user controls where that file is stored and who has access to it.

Users should protect backup files in the same manner they would protect their original PartForge data.

CSV Exports

PartForge can export certain application information to CSV files.

CSV exports are created only when requested by the user.

Once an exported file leaves PartForge through the iOS sharing system, storage and handling of that file is controlled by the user and the destination selected by the user.

Data Retention

PartForge does not operate a developer-controlled account or server containing user inventory.

Application data remains under the user’s control through their device, application backups, exported files, and applicable Apple iCloud services.

PartForge includes data-management functionality for removing application data.

Children

PartForge is a general-purpose workshop inventory and project-management utility.

PartForge does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated service.

Security

PartForge relies on Apple’s iOS, application sandboxing, and iCloud / CloudKit security architecture for applicable device and cloud protections.

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their device, Apple account, exported files, and backups.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when PartForge functionality or applicable requirements change.

Updates will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
