PartForge does not use the camera for advertising, tracking, or analytics.

Why can I select photos without granting full Photo Library access?

This allows you to explicitly choose the photos you want to provide to PartForge without granting unrestricted access to your entire photo library.

How do I add more quantity to a part I already own?

Start from the Add Part workflow.

If PartForge detects that the part already exists, the duplicate-detection workflow allows the new quantity to be added to the existing part rather than creating another inventory record.

For normal corrections or direct inventory changes, use the inventory adjustment workflow.

What is the difference between Backup and Export?

Backup is designed for restoring PartForge application data.

CSV Export is designed for:

CSV files should not be used as a replacement for a PartForge backup.

Why isn’t iCloud synchronization immediate?

iCloud and CloudKit synchronization is managed by Apple’s operating system and cloud services.

Synchronization timing can depend on:

If data does not appear immediately on another device, allow additional time and verify both devices are connected to the internet and signed into the appropriate iCloud account.

QR scanning isn’t working

Verify:

  1. Camera access is enabled for PartForge in iOS Settings.
  2. The QR code was generated by PartForge.
  3. The QR code is visible and well lit.
  4. The entire QR code is inside the scanner view.
  5. The corresponding PartForge record still exists.

Can PartForge scan any QR code?

PartForge’s inventory routing system is designed for QR codes generated by PartForge.

Unrecognized QR codes will not be treated as valid PartForge inventory records.

How do I completely remove my PartForge data?

PartForge includes data-management controls that allow application data to be reset.

Because iCloud synchronization may be active, changes can synchronize through Apple’s CloudKit service.

Create a backup first if you may want the data later.
